My favorite Bible verse is John 3:16. In today’s fast paced world of 5 second soundbites and social media feeds, we’re bombarded by so much information, so quickly, that something really has to grab our attention right away in order to get a second look.

John 3:16 is the soundbite for the Bible. It’s the whole Gospel summarized in one sentence. In that one verse, short enough to be a tweet, we learn about God (that he loves), who he loves (the world - all of us), what he did for us (gave his only son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice, to save us), how we should respond (to believe in Him), and what’s at stake (eternal life).

My musical tastes are varied and constantly changing, but some of the artists and bands that have influenced my growth as a musician are David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Paul Warren, Steve Lukather, Eric Johnson, John Mayer, moe, Sister Hazel, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, and Lincoln Brewster. There is a definite classic rock & blues slant to by guitar playing, but every once in a while some other genres will sneak in.

In addition to guitar and vocals, I act as mission40’s recording engineer and producer, and I am also the AV Technical Director for Cresthill Church.
